Guidelines

This document may be old and is always superseded or appended by the requirements of the locations we meet in. All rules and conducts of SnoCo Makerspace must be upheld and may be found on the makerspace webpage and in person on use agreement forms in the main meeting space.

You should not be trying to find ways to cheat around these rules. Treat them as guides and adhear to the intent. The purposes are to protect, you others, and abide with lease and insurance requirements.

The rule list:

  • No combustion may be used in your robot
  • No hazardous materials - (keep the DIY nuclear reactor at home!)
  • No flying or gliding unless specifically stated as allowed.
  • LIPO Batteries must be protected
  • Power must be reasonably easy to disconnect in an emergency
  • No weapon systems outside of wedges.
  • No explosives or chemical reactions
  • Limit use of water to required processes, shouldn't be used as a weapon or defense.
  • Robot must have protection against wounding you or others in transport.
  • Your robot must be designed to prevent causing harm to others if it looses control.
